Anemas Inn is a bed and breakfast, located next to Anemas Dungeons in Ayvansaray within Fatih district of Istanbul, overlooking the southern shore of the Golden Horn, the Blachernae section of the Theodosian Walls, and the neighborhoods of Balat and Edirnekapi.
The neighborhoods of Balat-Fener-Ayvansaray offer an authentic Istanbul experience to visitors showcasing traditional, colorful houses with bay windows, daily routines of locals, and numerous important historic sites like Chora Museum, The Palace of Blachernae, Phanar Greek Orthodox College, and Church of St. Mary the Mongols.
In recent years, there have been number of development and restoration projects taken place to bring forth the district’s historical and cultural significance. Anemas Inn consists of two historic homes rebuild in conformance with their original architecture. The houses are three stories high with narrow street facades and bay windows. Together, they share a spacious backyard which is in use as a garden café with a terrace. Our guests can enjoy their complimentary breakfast here and benefit from the terrace to watch the magnificent view of Golden Horn. Upon advance notice, Anemas Café can be booked for special events.
Public transportation is very easy and main hub Eminonu is about 15 to 20 minutes with bus ride. From there you can go to Taksim, Sultan Ahmet,…, pretty much anywhere. Metro, Tramway, Sea Taxi, and Taxi is available. But, if you do not mind walking, this is the best way to get to know Istanbul. Eminonu is about 20-25 minutes walking distance.
